DESCRIPTION

First of all, I have a question for you. How would you live your life if you have 13 lives but you can't escape death?

Short Summary

So this is a story about a 31 year old guy named Ee Jae Chae. He was a college graduate and he's always failing in finding a job. He always over thinks about what others will say to him if he can't find a delicate job, especially by his colleague. So when he reached his zenith point, he decided to die so that he could put an end to his life but that's all it started when he met Death. His death is the starting point to experience death 13 times.

Characters

For the characters, I will say that they are well made. They have their own characteristics and background story. For each character, we can say that it is happening in the real world. They are poor, rich, and abusive in power but this is what makes us humans. So Ee Jae Chae experiences all the hardships of each life he has been given. The author emphasizes each character that was given to Ee Jae Chae so that he can reflect about the things he should do before killing himself. Because of Death, Ee Jae Chae eventually realized that life is precious, that we should live it fully.

Setting

Well made, each character has their own setting/playground. I'm okay with how the author uses the characters to create a background that is related to the character. Especially if the character is a killer, masochist or drug dealer.

Plot

As for the plot, there are many plots in the story. I would say that each plot has its own value. Each life given to Ee Jae Chae is full of hardships, some of them are trash but most of them are very precious especially the detective, handsome guy, and his mother. Death wanted Ee Jae Chae to experience all this kind of life to realize that death is not to be taken lightly, that he should value his life even if there are hardships and trials.

Art

The art is okay, they did not spare the drawing. Each chapter is well detailed.

Story

For the story, it was amazing since I didn't expect the ending. Also I couldn't guess what will happen next. The story is somewhat reflecting the real life scenarios.

This story has a greater impact than it seems since we can relate to it. The author thinks deeply about how he would use the story to reflect in real life scenarios and this is it. Congratulations to the author of this comic, I am pleased about this story. Everyone should read it

I highly recommend this kind of story. You should read it. I like this kind of genre where the author uses real life scenarios so that the reader can relate and maybe it can be an eye opener to us that we should always live our life to the fullest. We should take the chances than choosing about not doing it and regretting it later... If you like this review can you recommend me some of your favorite comics that you've really like. A new view on life and another chance.
Summary 31 year old Ee Jae Chae. After graduating college, continuously failed to find a job. After being repeatedly told to get a job, having his girlfriend of 6 years break up and move on to a marriage with another man in under 3 months, And not ‘’knowing how to live’’ he decides to retardedly end his life. After committing suicide he’s introduced to death, who then makes him live 13 ending lives with a chance at living. Characters All the characters were all uniquely interesting. From rich to poor, Pure innocence to horrendously down bad, both an old and young variety and very relatable characters. Seeing all the backstories and personalities it can give a really different view on how people think and act. The lives that were given to mc (Ee Jae Chae) helped give him a reflection on why life has at least potential to have meaning, That he should try pushing until his very end, regardless how many mistakes happen in the past. Their positions and personalities all fit very well too. Setting I think the settings fit perfectly for all the characters. Their area and where live and etc. They really all match the characters themselves, their background and personality, from a cold blooded killer to an old woman grieving the death of her son the author did a good job with them Plot The plots in the story were all interesting, there were a fair share of plot twists as well. I could say It was enough to keep one engaged to the end. For the average reader it must’ve been a nice and thrilling ride. For me some things were predictable but that’s probably because of my overthinking. Each life was meaningful, him experiencing love, wealth, hardships, each showed why you should continue living until your time is up. Art The art was nice and detailed, since i usually read manhwa with this art style yeah it was pretty decent than most. The story : the ending was deserved. end of sentance. @russian09 (someone i forced to read & give feedback ) - I thought it was good, sometimes the author made the characters make dumb decisions but overall the series was rlly good and it was very interesting especially the main character and his relationship with his past. Side note ; this is my first review, I enjoyed it so i’ll likely make more, This one was pretty short compared to ones i’d seen but I couldn’t think of much to write about. It didn’t really have much personality or opinion? In this but yeah. I hope you enjoyed reading. (i barely made the character minimum too ) also i really did not pay attenotion to grammar or spelling so if you see anything cry about it. Recommend?! ; yes i do recommend, it’s a nice quick read, the story has realistic situations nothing too exaggerated. Aside from the supernatural death thing ofc.

!!!SPOILER WARNING!!! What happens when you die? This is a question that people keep asking themselves over and over again. A lot of people are scared of death, some people try to save someone’s life while other people take someone’s life. Death comes at us in many forms, but what might be the most painful way for people is when someone takes their own life.

Choi I-Jae, a regular man that finished his studies and hasn’t been able to land a job for so long now. Many years passed, he is going into his thirties and he is still jobless. He loses money on a crypto scam and his girlfriend leaves him and gets married to someone else. Pretty easy to conclude that his life is going horrible and that is when this manwha brings us straight to his decision, he will commit suicide. By doing this, he leaves one important thing behind, and that is his mother. His mother has always cared for him, trying to support him and showed him the love nothing else would give him; however, he will realize the pain this will give him later.

After Choi jumped off the building, he didn’t reach the same fate people usually do, at least as stated in this story. He arrives at a desk and at this desk we have “someone” waiting for him and this “someone” is Death. Death stated how offended they were by Choi’s suicide and they make him play a game. He will experience someone else’s life, but the twist is, they are about to die very soon. If he manages to evade the cause of death, he can enjoy the life he inherited. The first two times he “respawns”, he meets his end very quickly but after this the real story starts. One of the first things you do notice, which pissed me off a few times throughout this story, is that the main character is pretty dumb. There have been many instances in this story, like completely dropping his guard with a lot of cash next to a guy who just tried to kill him, where this dude will just piss you off.

The storyline is very interesting in my opinion and the way it works is what makes this manwha the most interesting. The art is nothing special, not saying it is bad, and as I said the main character is pretty annoying because of how stupid he is, but the story, amazing. In all the times he gets brought back into the world by Death you will realize at some point that everything seems to be tied together. Everytime he gets back on earth in a new body it appears that only very little time has passed. Certain characters come back and influence the story further and the main character also develops because of this. His strategy in what he wants to do in the new life he enters completely changes because of the events in his previous life. First, he chases after money, then he chases after revenge, and in the end, he tries to protect a family.

The thing that makes this very hard is the question, what do you actually do in this situation? Death threatens him to not commit suicide again, otherwise he will have an even bigger issue, so you can’t just die everytime on purpose. The first thing would probably be, let's try to make this life worth it. Maybe you can have a good life, get a new chance, and have a good time. However, this changes when you get sent to the body of a man that is a convicted rapist or a serial killer on the run. Can you still do things peacefully when you have to be alive, walking around with the memories of those kinds of people? And not to forget, everyone around him treated him as the rapist, since even though he didn’t do it, he still is inside of the body of the man that did do it. I understand that in these situations, it is very hard to find a goal in life and that it can mess up someone’s mind completely.

The conclusion of the story was, sadly, one of its weakest points. It felt very rushed in the end, and in my opinion, not really satisfying. After successfully protecting the person he wanted to protect and dying in the process of that, he decided it was done. Death had 3 bullets left, so he would just make sure to die as quickly as possible now. With the first 2 bullets he basically commited suicide right away. However, with the last body he entered, he couldn’t bring himself to do it. This time he entered the body of a woman, not just a woman, it was his mothers body. After realizing it was his mothers body, he couldn’t stand the thought of killing or hurting his mother, so he accepted his faith for 30 years within that body. In the end, he came back to Death, and gave them a final request, please bring me back to my own body and let me try over. And in the end, it seems like Death grants this request. This is not fully confirmed, but the way I see the end is that he did get his request granted. I personally don’t like it ending this way, I feel like he didn’t deserve this, and it clashes with Death’s character throughout the manwha, but somewhere I can also see the argument that Death was waiting to see him beg to go back. In any case, I was not a fan of this ending.

To finish this up, Death’s Game is a very enjoyable read in my opinion. I would for sure recommend this to others, and that is not because of the art or the main character himself, but purely for how this story is structured. It felt very fresh to read, and I think many people can at least appreciate this story. My final rating for this manwha is a 8.1!
