100/100Cinema, a última coisa que elas falam no anime é o nome do animeContinue on AniList

40/100A show that tries to be nice be nice and cozy but is ultimately forgettableContinue on AniList'See You Tomorrow at the Food Court' is a short slice-of-life anime that's aimed to bring a smile to many. Unfortunately, it's a hit-or-miss.
Overview
Every afternoon, two friends meet at the food court and have unfiltered conversations on any topic.
Notes
Let's look at the studio and the staff first.
⚫ The studio, Atelier Pontdarc, is new and was established amidst the COVID pandemic in 2020. You can count on one hand its outputs. It produced two isekai — 'Uncle from Another World' and 'No Longer Allowed in Another World' — as well as the romcom 'Ganbare Douki-chan.'
⚫ The director, Koga Kazuomi, is seasoned. He is directing the current Fall 2025 seasonals — My Friend's Little Sister Has It In for Me! as well as Plus-sized Misadventures in Love!
He also directed all seasons of Rent a Girlfriend. His anime look nothing too spectacular but are fairly acceptable.
⚫ We also have Sakai Kyuuta as animation director and character designer. The basic character design is still the same as in the manga. It's just that there seem to be fewer details in their hair, and they look relatively flat.
Let's talk a bit about their characters and the setting.

Wada seems to be a model student, but she is actually struggling with her high school lessons. She loves gacha games, and she has a quirky personality.
She always drives the conversation as she often comes to Yamamoto to complain about stuff in her life.
Yamamoto is a gyaru, but unlike the stereotypical gyaru, she is more reserved and responsible.
Overall, these two are different to their stereotypes.
As to why they are always in the food court, it has something to do with their friendship that started in middle school. I won't spoil the exact details. But basically, the food court represents the connection and friendship they have.
"Friendship is created out of the quality of time spent between two people, not the quantity."

Let's talk about the story.
For those who love Monogatari, this might be your cup of tea, though the dialogues aren't quite on point. They are just yapping on different subjects, but it's a hit or miss. Sometimes it's boring and you don't really care about it at all. Sometimes they're funny.
It's a slice of life, so there's really no plot to speak of. They're just there being chill and being young.
The problem is that there are really no emotional high and emotional low points. For someone like me, it makes me indifferent. I mentioned that Monogatari might like this. I said might because it is in the same vein, but it's inferior to it.
If there's an anime that's related to food and friendship I can recommend, it's Food for the Soul.
Let's talk about KFC.
The most blatant difference is the KFC product placement. I tried looking at some panels in the manga, and there's no KFC. KFC is obviously a sponsor.

Some would be annoyed by this. Others like me would be indifferent. I actually don't mind because KFC is my favourite fast food. It's just that if it were a different brand, especially one I dislike, I might feel differently.
Conclusion
'See You Tomorrow at the Food Court' is an okay show that sometimes is nice. But overall, the dialogue is forgettable.
I hate to mark it as 'not recommended' because for some people, it's a nice watch. It's just that it's not so compelling, so I am marking it 'mixed feelings.'
NOTA BENE: A grade of 4 out of 10 [40 out of 100 in anilist] means I got some enjoyment out of this anime, but the issues are glaring, or simply I rank it higher than my 3's but below my 5's.
My enjoyment spectrum lies from 4 to 10. If I have scored an anime below 4, I actively dislike it.

35/100Meant to be friendly conversations between 2 friends but its rly just your school frenemy complainin about everythingContinue on AniListMight contain spoilers, read at your own risk, or don't
I was really excited about the idea in this but this anime was a disappointment.
I was wrong expecting a chill feel-good anime. It's almost infuriating to watch at times (eg. ep04).The main idea is that the dialogue is just trivial everyday chatter of two friends. But none of it is funny, relatable, particularly intelligent or interesting in any way
(note: I've been a girl of that age too and had thousands of convos in a similar setting with different friend groups throughout the years so this is not just random hate). Conversations are clearly supposed to be the carrying theme in this anime, but it literally feels like a 40 y.o. man IMAGINING this is what young girls talk about.
Topic-wise as a watcher I'm generally interested in literally EVERYTHING and still, it's so mind-numbingly boring cause they delve too deep into some topics like we're sitting at school, and don't delve deep enough into some topics. There's some sort of imbalance in their speech and their whole relationship which doesnt feel natural at all. This doesnt feel like good friends having a chat after school, tbh.
Their fight and the reason for it in ep05 is beyond dumb, and I have never seen a girl/woman of any age act like that. It's an embarrassingly bad attempt at portraying teenage drama. There's some improvement in the realism of the conversations towards the end, and their relationship deepens, but no other noticeable character development.
Some of the jokes are trying so hard to be funny it's almost cringe to watch as none of them are.
- Characters -
One bad character wouldnt be so bad if there were more members in the cast, but I have to talk about the black-haired one as the show revolves around only 2 characters.
The black-haired girl is unbelievably obnoxious and starts the conversations, which are pretty much just her rambling about uninteresting thoughts that rarely lead anywhere meaningful. Ironic, because she complains that "normie" conversations about cooking and whatnot are boring, even tho they are on par with hers. She rly shined through when she minimized her friends random SA by saying it's just a proof of her feminine appeal (implying it's good). I physically get the ick sometimes when she talks.
She's also the type to bring others down in effort to try to raise herself out from the mediocrity. She happily talks about herself giving attitude to a café employee. She's rude, complains all the time and about the stupidest things. Doesnt even understand how calories work yet acts like she knows about the topic. It's not cute or funny.
Her crab bucket mentality and negging together make it just rly hard to watch, since it's mostly just her rambling. The blonde one is mostly there just to react to the other one's ramblings and represents 'the normal one'. She shared some family drama in one ep, which brought some intimacy to the conversation, but the family drama was never brought back as a plot point.
It's hard to find good things about this anime because the main carrying points are characters and their conversations, and neither were entertaining to watch. I really tried to like this but almost gave up on 3rd episode.
I would rather go lie in a ditch than go chat with the one who wrote the dialogue in this. Animation style is good-looking though.
I'm glad this one doesnt have any more episodes.3.5/10
