  Lost Canvas is Epic - How a prequel should be made.

  Lost Canvas is epic!
  I could end here my rewiew, because it is very amazing.
  Saint Seiya epic to the very meaning of it.

  The stage is set 200 years before the original series, and so it could be considered a prequel; but you can watch the show without ever seen the original.
  Like the original the main character is the Saint(Cavaliere in Italian) of Pegaus, this time Tenma, but like, and much more than, the original the "side" characters have a great role to aid the protagonist to fullfill his task.
  Altrought not reaching the perfection of "Full Metal Alchemist: Brotherhood", where no minutes go wasted, and with little rust in the fist episodes, Lost Canvas has a good plot with, pratucally, no holes, and the secondary characters, as i said before, are not wasted or under used(also if you can feel, sometimes, the cuts from manga transposition).

  Being a prequel you could be fearful to see something like thousands of citations from the orginal serial, and instead...
  Instead they are, but gently inserted in the plot, or show to the watchers that alredy known the story and the author(Kurumada could draw like a child, but his ability as storyteller is unmatched) never throws an original anime reference without necessity or for the sake of the pubblic.
  This is how a prequel is made, and Lucasart and Dinsy should learn from this next time they need to make a prequel.

  From artistic point of view, i like the cloths a lot, light and shades are wonderfully painted, but probably details are inferiors than original(masked by a better graphics).
  Action scenes are functionally and fun to see, i like the stop scene when particularly epic.
  Not knowing much about animation techniques, i must constate that the scenes are fluid and seem realistic.
  Only sometimes, mass scenes are a little less definied and backgrounds a little dull.

  About chacters, as i said, no one is under used and this Athena is very better that original's one.
  Sasha, unlike Saori, is still a young girl, but she does't need her saint to be saved at every episode.
  Tenma-Pegasus is still the main character but exactly as Seiya-Pegasus he need the help of his friends to complete the work

  A note on italian traslation: i have like it, but not in the first episodes where was a strange mix of english and italian term.
  if you, Netflix italia, wished to translare more adherently to Kurumada's terms, you could simply translate them in italian.

  "The Lost Canvas 2, a épica continuação de uma saga mitológica"

  __"The Lost Canvas 2, a épica continuação de uma saga mitológica"__ _``"Esta review tem spoilers"``_ Para começar, a segunda parte de The Lost Canvas começa muito melhor que a primeira, mas a partir do episódio 6 piora só um pouquinho (continua bem melhor que a parte 1), e por fim, o episódio 12 é bem ruimzinho (em questão de direção/animação).

  • Animação/Design (8.5/10): a animação de The Lost Canvas 2 é bem superior que a parte 1, mas parece que a partir do episódio 6 ela vai piorando e chega um momento que os quadros estáticos voltam novamente. O traço e o character-design da série continuam fenomenais.

  • Roteiro (8/10): o roteiro de The Lost Canvas 2 continua bem sólido, mas com um ritmo muito melhor que a parte 1 (os acontecimentos não vem de forma exageradamente rápida). Assim, os personagens tem mais tempo para serem desenvolvidos e se tornam mais carismáticos para o público.
    Agora que descobrimos que Alone se fingia de Hades para ajudar o Tenma, vários aparentes furos de roteiro foram anulados (ainda bem!).

  • Personagens (9/10): os personagens da segunda parte de The Lost Canvas SÃO MUITO BONS, digo SÃO MELHORES QUE OS DA PRIMEIRA PARTE, só não gostei que na morte de alguns personagens não houve o mesmo impacto da primeira parte (foram despedidas rápidas e quase sem profundidade):

    • Tenma: o protagonista da série continua em desenvolvimento, não muda muito. Mas ao final da série parece que ele finalmente quer ficar forte ao nível de meter porrada no Hades.
    • Manigold e Seiji: o Manigold é simplesmente o melhor personagem de The Lost Canvas (O CARA FOI PRO CASTELO DOS GEMEOS SÓ PRA DEITAR A PORRADA NELES DO NADAKKKKKKKKK), pena que ele morre tão cedo. O desenvolvimento do personagem é muito bem feito, principalmente com os flashbacks junto do seu mestre Seiji, que é um estrategista nato. A relação deles de mestre e aprendiz é algo muito bom que falta no Tenma e no Dohko.
    • El Cid: MINHA ESPADA AINDA NÃO CHEGOU A PERFEIÇÃO. Ele se forçar aos mais árduos treinamentos para tornar sua espada perfeita é sensacional. Um personagem simples mas muito legal!
    • Sisifo: o sentimento de culpa nesse cavaleiro foi o que tornou ele tão diferente, ele se sente o causador de toda a guerra (sua culpa é tão grande que ele criou no mundo dos sonhos um purgatório só para ele). E então a Sasha indo ajudá-lo neste processo para tirar toda a sua culpa é sensacional.
    • Alone/Hades: toda aquela parte do Alone se fingindo de Hades foi muito boa, só poderia ser mais bem explicada. Mas finalmente Hades o tomou completamente, e agora, finalmente, ele é o vilão final da série.

  • Conclusão: finalizando, é uma continuação que agrega e consegue ser superior a primeira parte. Porém, tal qualidade vai sumindo ao chegar na reta final, ainda bem que o último episódio resgata as qualidades que se perderam e é simplesmente ÉPICO!!!! Recomendo demais que vocês assistam!!! Pena que ainda não tem continuação, o mangá parece ser uma boa opção para você ler ao terminar esta temporada.
